TedTalk: Should I bewitch this loser for making me pregnant?

Hi Uncle Ted,

I have dated this jamaa for sometime. Juzi when I became pregnant, he told me to ‘delete’ it, but I told him off since we are both not schooling. I wonder why he kept digging with his kathing without a condom if he wasn’t ready to be a father. He has even told me to tell my family he is not ready for marriage. Should I bewitch him or hire goons to beat him? I am so pissed off!

Mariah

Mariah, bewitching or hiring goons to beat him is pretty cool! But it ignores the fact that you share a responsibility for your predicament. You are not a minor. You were not raped. Instead, you allowed him to keep digging using that kathing without a condom (your words).

Because you are not a child, it should have occurred to you that the bum could knock you up or give you kaswende! And what did you do? Nothing. No pills, no (female) condom, no coil. All you did was scream, “Come, baby, come!” - again and again. So here we are. Now prepare to be baba na mama. Solace? If you haul him to the Children’s Court, he will pay. Judges don’t care whether he was ready to be a father or not.
