Attractive and comfortable are the words that best describe nganyas plying the Thika Road route. Not surprisingly, Fusion, the latest addition of the route, does not disappoint. Loyal commuters wouldn’t mind waiting for this mat for hours on Ronald Ngala Street.

Stiff competition has seen operators on Thika Road opting for nganyas instead of the ubiquitous buses on the route.

Fusion, a brand new 14-seater nganya registered with Rockers Travellers Limited is the new kid in town. Fusion stands out from the crowd with its bold graffiti depicting Spider-Man.

The driver, Ken Muchira, says: “We shifted from buses to nganyas to save time, because buses take too long to fill. Pimping the matatus make them more attractive.”

With a 42-inch LED screen and smaller ones at the front, combined with cozy seats, Fusion has become very popular with passengers.

“We are the first to install the Cross Over device that allows the driver to balance quality of music played, since we have two woofers and eight mid-range speakers,” explains Ken.

With powerful CCTV cameras, the driver can monitor passengers in the mathree. The cameras use infrared light to record at night.
