Iggy Azalea has thanked D'Angelo Russell for secretly making a tape in which her fiance Nick Young boasts about meeting another girl.

The 25-year-old star - who got engaged to the basketball player last June - hasn't directly commented about the state of her relationship after the footage leaked online, but suggested she has learned from her partner's Los Angeles Lakers teammate's film.

She tweeted: "hmmm i see D Angelo Russell is trending... I actually liked his film. Thanks bro.(sic)"

Iggy and Nick are currently said to be "not on good terms" and their engagement is in "jeopardy", but sources told TMZ the sportsman is "crushed" by the leaked footage - in which he doesn't appear to be aware he was being filmed - and is determined to do what he can to repair their relationship.

The website reports the video was recorded months ago, and everyone involved believes it was obtained and leaked by a third party, rather than D'Angelo.

However, there is said to be major tension between the two sportsmen, and their other teammates are also furious about the breach of trust.

One source told ESPN: "It's bad. It's about as bad as it can get. There were trust issues already. Now there's no trust."

The video shows D'Angelo at home speaking on the phone with his teammate and asking Nick about his sexual exploits.

At one point, he says: "You was 30, she was 19?

"What about Amber Rose, you ain't never tried?"

The leak comes just a week after Iggy insisted she never believed rumours she had been cheated on.

She said: "Hey, that's part of being a basketball player. There's always something.

"When people come out and say things, and have their entire [press plan] where they do 700 interviews about the one time you catcalled me out of a car supposedly, to me that takes a bit of the potential authenticity of the story away.

"I believe my man, and Nick is a super nice guy. This is not the kind of thing he would do."
