Woman Representative Florence Kajuju wants the law tightened to prevent party leaders from rewarding cronies.
The MP said the party bosses are fond of rewarding their girlfriends with nominations as MPs, senators and MCAs.
Speaking at a meeting with aspiring MCAs yesterday, Ms Kajuju said the current political set up was full of girlfriends who had been rewarded with nominations to the Senate, National Assembly and the 47 county assemblies.
“The nominations pull back the drive to increase the number of elected women leaders because the nominated did not have the ambition to lead,” she said.
