An MP has said the examination council cannot be trusted to remark disputed Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education examination of a school in Mbooni.

Mbooni MP Kisoi Munyao said Kenya National Examination Council (Knec) is mandated to ensure safety and confidentiality of national exams and not teachers or students. It should, therefore, take responsibility of any shortcomings in handling examinations.

Mbooni Boys secondary school students complained of what they termed as continued under marking of the school's KCSE examination.

The school's board of management resolved to send the students home after they threatened to march to Knec headquarters. Yesterday, Mr Kisoi met the school's board and teachers and assured them that he would personally raise the matter with Knec.
