Brazilian soccer star Wanderson Cristaldo Farias sent the internet into a frenzy after jumping into the crowd to kiss his wife after he scored - only to find out the goal had been disallowed once he ran back on to the pitch.

Cristaldo placed the ball into the net from close range following a cross from the opposite side of the pitch.

According to The Sun, the midfielder sprinted towards the stands to celebrate his goal, before spotting his wife and asked her to come down to embrace him.

The loving pair soon embraced, sharing some words and a passionate kiss, before Cristaldo turned around and realised he hadn’t scored at all.
