Arsenal star Alexandre Lacazette has reportedly been spotted in Barcelona after being linked with a summer move to the club.

The French striker, who flattered to deceive as the Gunners were thrashed 4-1 in the Europa League final in midweek, is said to be a target for the Catalan giants as they eye a long-term replacement for Luis Suarez.

And according to Sport, Lacazette was seen in the city on Friday, apparently being spotted in the Ciudad Condal restaurant in the city.

The former Lyon star is most likely just taking a holiday at the end of a long season, but it could be a chance for him to get his bearings in a city where he could potentially ply his trade in the future.

The Lacazette sighting in Barcelona comes after he was tipped to follow in the footsteps of ex-Liverpool ace Suarez by his former manager, Claude Puel.

"Lacazette can be a player like Luis Suarez," Puel told El Pais. "You can go down to the midfield to play a little and ask the ball to space. For me he could do very, very well in Barcelona."

Lacazette, who bagged 13 goals and 10 assists in the Premier League for the Gunners this season, spoke out about rumours surrounding his future in the run-up to the Europa League final.

“For me, I just think about the final, then after we will see with the club," he told Evening Standard Sport.

“If the club is really happy with me and I’m happy, I will stay. In France, they say 27, 28 is one of the best ages in your career. I wish it is not the last [good season] at Arsenal and I hope I will be better and better in the next years.”
