Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has broken the internet by making light work of 1998 World Cup winner Zinedine Zidane in a charity match played in Bordeaux, France.

Wenger was photographed rounding the Real Madrid tactician in a match which included former football and rugby stars, playing both sports in separate halves.

The photograph of 69-year-old dribbling past Zidane sent netizens into meltdown on Monday.

Wenger is considered one of the greatest football managers in history after leading Arsenal to league glory several times, most notable - an unbeaten run in the 2003-04 Premier League season.

The Frenchman left the Gunners at the end of the 2017-18 campaign after 22 years in charge and hasn’t given up hope of returning into management.

"Originally I said I want to manage straight away again. After that, I thought maybe I'll take a little distance.

"I came to the conclusion that I want to share what I learned in my life. Because life is only useful if at some stage you share what you know.

"I will go back to football for sure. In what position I don't know, whether that is as a manager or not. The appetite, the desire, is still there.

"I know what kind of life I have in front of me so I have to decide that now," said Wenger during an event in London.?
