Wenger:  My football future may not be in management

Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted that he might not ever return to management.

The 69 year old Frenchman has kept a relatively low profile since leaving the Emirates at the end of last season.

The father of one has also turned down several job offers after being linked with several managerial jobs.

“I thought I will come back into management very quickly, but I enjoyed taking a little distance,” Wenger told the BBC. Now I’m at a crossroads.”

Per the BBC, Wenger later added: “You will see me again in football. As a manager… I don’t know.”

After spending 22 years at Arsenal and leading the Gunners to three Premier League titles and seven FA Cup titles, Wenger reveals he still supports the Gunners and had some thoughts on the team’s season, ahead of Europa League final.

Arsenal face London rivals Chelsea in the Azerbaijan capital on Wednesday with victory guaranteeing Wenger’s former club a spot in the Champions League.

“I miss competition and I miss Arsenal because I left my heart in there,” Wenger said. “I gave my life to this club for 22 years. Every minute of my life was dedicated to this club and I miss the values we developed inside the club.

“I support Arsenal. It will be forever my club.”

Wenger led the Gunners to the 2000 UEFA Cup final before they were beaten on penalties by Turkish club Galatasaray after the two teams played out a goalless draw after regulation time and extra time.
