The IAAF will argue out a case against South African athlete Caster Semenya before the Court of Arbitration of Sport next week to challenge her categorisation as a female athlete.

IAAF will insist in its submission that Semenya is a male athlete, owing to her biological and genetical make-up.

According to the Times, the IAAF insists that the World Women’s 800m Champion should compete with male athletes in the same races since she has more advantages compared to male athletes that she has dominated.

The hearing which will take five days will be based on Semenya’s ‘Difference of Sex Development’ and how it impacts on the transgender athletes.
