Oliech to make SportPesa Super Cup debut against Mbao FC

Striker Dennis Oliech has been named in Gor Mahia’s squad set to face Tanzanian side Mbao FC in the SportPesa Super Cup today.

Captain Harun Shakava and defender Joash Onyango, who were suspended for the previous fixture have also been named in the squad by coach Hassan Oktay.

Shakava assured supporters that they were well-prepared to the trophy for the third year in a row.

“We have not come to Tanzania to participate but to win. It will be a good match. Our good show in Cameroon is an added advantage in the match,” he said.

Mbao striker Said Khamis warned Gor Mahia of the threat they face in today’s tie.

“We are set to give Gor Mahia a good game. We have a good side full of individual talent. Gor Mahia must know that they will be playing a team from Mwanza that is ready to punch above its weight,” he warned.

Possible starting eleven: Fredrick Odhiambo, Philemon Otieno, Geoffrey Ochieng, Joash Onyango, Harun Shakavah, Cercidy Okeyo, Samuel Onyango, Lawrence Juma, Denis Oliech, Erisa Ssekisambu, George Odhiambo.
