Top of the league and four points clear - it's safe to say things are looking pretty rosy for Liverpool at the moment.

Having scored 50 goals, conceded only 10 and suffering just one defeat in the league so far this season, it’s tricky to suggest how they could improve.

But January means the transfer window, which as ever means that plenty of rumours are flying round.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp seems pretty happy with his current crop of stars and is unlikely to make any major signings this month.

But with the Reds still competing in the Champions League, coupled with recent injury woes, there could always be a shock move on the horizon.

But who is being linked with a move to Anfield?

Adrien Rabiot

PSG are willing to let the French midfielder leave for a cut-price fee this month.

Rabiot is a free agent at the end of the season and won’t be signing a new deal with the club, meaning a move in the coming weeks is highly likely.

Barcelona looked set to land Rabiot, but that deal fell through after PSG accused the La Liga leaders of acting incorrectly towards their player.

That leaves the door open for Liverpool, although they would face stiff competition from Chelsea and Bayern.

James Forrest

Brendan Rodgers could be dealt a blow by his former side, with Liverpool reportedly planning a summer bid for Forrest.

£8 million is the apparent asking fee for the winger, who has been watched by the Premier League leaders.

The 27-year-old has been at the Scottish giants all his career and has scored 11 goals in 34 appearances so far this campaign.

Timo Werner

This is one that has got tongues wagging on Merseyside - as Werner and Liverpool continue to be linked.

Competition for Roberto Firmino is said to be high on Klopp’s agenda, and the 22-year-old goalscorer fits the bill.

Again, nothing is likely to come of this one before January 31, but a Premier League trophy could help lure the German to Anfield in the summer.

Eder Militao

Porto’s defender is being linked with a move in Brazilian media, but the Reds would have to meet a €50m release clause for his signature.

UOL have said that Everton and Manchester United are the other Premier League clubs interested, but that is as far as things are at this stage.

Although Militao is linked, a marquee-signing in the defensive department isn’t expected from Liverpool in this window.

James Tarkowski

According the The Sun Jurgen Klopp is contemplating a move for Burnley centre-half James Tarkowski.

A loan has been reported, but in response, the Clarets have slapped a £50m price tag on their defender.

The England international is the latest to be linked with the club, as Reds boss Jurgen Klopp attempts to deal with his injury-hit defence.
