Kabras Sugar underlined their title credentials over the weekend with a ruthless 62-13 drubbing of Strathmore Leos in a Kenya Cup round four tie in Madaraka.
Saturday's triumph was the fourth straight bonus point win for the Kakamega-based side that host Impala Saracens on match day five, in what will perhaps be the first real test of the campaign for the 2016 champions.
It was always going to be difficult for the university side who are struggling for form, their inconsistency seeing them remain rooted at the bottom of the standings.
Kabras were, however, forced to come from behind to take a commanding 50-3 lead at the interval before completing the rout with 12 more points in the second half.
Elsewhere, six-time champions Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) staged a spectacular second half display to beat their hosts Kenya Harlequin 22-13 at the RFUEA grounds.

KCB won through three tries, two conversions and one penalty against Quins' solitary converted try, a penalty and a drop-goal.
"Our execution especially in the final third was wanting. We got deflated a bit at the end of the first half when they (KCB) scored their first try. We played catch up for the better part of the match and that is always difficult against a defending champion," Quins coach Charles Cardovillis said.
Mwamba produced the only upset of the weekend as they stunned Nondescript 13-12 at the Jamhuri Showgrounds, thus ending Nondies unbeaten start to the season.
Kulabu, who were desperately in need of their first win, had Eugene Nzioka to thank as the half-back proved to be the match winner with a second half penalty.
The match was not short of controversy as Nondies were forced to play a man less following Benjamin Marshall's dismissal.
With Mwamba having finally gotten off the mark, Strathmore are now the only side yet to register a win in the top flight battle.
Just like Mwamba, Impala too relied on Quinto Ongo's penalty to see off Mean Machine 22-19 in a closely contested affair.
"We should start being more clinical," Impala coach Frank Ndong said.
