Kabras wary of KU as Homeboyz seek first win

Kabras Sugar RFC head coach Henley Du Plessis said he expects his team to continue with their fine start in the Kenya Cup 2018-2019 season when they visit Kenyatta University's Blak Blad in Nairobi over the weekend.
The sugar millers rekindled sparks and determination last witnessed during their crowning 2016 year when they hammered University of Nairobi's Mean Machine 41-0 on the opening day of the 50th Kenya Cup season.
Du Plessis said he expects their opponents Blak Blad to trouble them more than Mean Machine did last Saturday.
“Blak Blad lost narrowly to Impala Saracens last weekend. They played a more structured game than UoN students. Pressure will be on us as they have the home advantage,” said Du Plessis.
The former Boland Cavaliers forwards coach, however, said the team will be missing the services of hard-hitting lock Andrew Chogo and Jone Kubu, who are yet to recover from injuries.

"We expect Jone Kubu back in December. He is currently on rehab with our Strength and Conditioning coach in Kakamega. As for Chogo, we hope he returns in January," said the World Rugby Level III coach.
De Plessis, who took over from Charles Cardovillis, said he expects his captain Max Adaka, Dan Sikuta and Brian Tanga to lead the sugar men in registering the team’s second win.
“We are taking each game as a final. The boys are charged up and we want to be cup leaders by the end of the Christmas break," he added.
Meanwhile, wounded Stanbic Mwamba and Menengai Cream Homeboyz will be seeking to get their first victory when the two sides clash on Saturday.
The Dala Sevens champions lost 29-26 to Kenya Harlequins as the Deejays lost 20-14 to Nondescript.
Defending champions KCB will tackle Nondies in a match that will be aired by Bamba Sports as students Mean Machine seek to avenge their loss in the early Saturday 2pm kick-off.
A total of six fixtures are on the cards at the weekend.
