Cristiano Ronaldo has showed off a stunning diamond-encrusted watch on his return to Old Trafford to face Manchester United.

The Juventus superstar faced the media sporting the watch modelled on the Jacob&Co Caviar Tourbillon range.

An emerald version of the watch is worth £1.85m, but Ronaldo's version could be even more.

That's because the design appears to have had 424 glistening diamonds added to it.

A brand ambassador since 2013, Ronaldo has regularly displayed luxury items from the company.

Ronaldo vehemently denies rape allegations made against him and moved to clarify his position ahead of his Old Trafford return.

"I'm happy man. We did the statement two weeks ago," Ronaldo responded.

"Of course I'm not going to lie on this situation. My lawyers are confident and of course, I am too. The most important thing is that I enjoy football and enjoy life. I have people who take care of my life. The truth always come in the first position."

He added: "I know I am an example, 100 per cent, in the pitch and outside the pitch. I always smile. I'm blessed. I play at a fantastic club, I have a fantastic family, I'm healthy. I have everything. The rest does not affect me."

Ronaldo also revealed his delight to come back to the club that made him a world class player.

"It’s a huge emotional thing for me to come back," said Ronaldo. "I know all about the history.

"I won trophies here - cups, leagues, Champions League. I remember the support as well. The support is fantastic.

"Here I have many memories of victories and affection and in particular with Sir Alex Ferguson, to whom I send a big hug.

"He is someone I will never ever forget and I’d like to express my best possible wishes to him. He is a person who helped me so much."
