The 2017/18 season only finished last month and the World Cup is still around the corner.

But that doesn't stop people pining for the Premier League.

We’re just 11 days away from the official fixture list being revealed – and the supposed opening weekend fixtures have been “leaked” on social media, report ChronicleLive.

A formal looking sheet with the August 11 matches has Newcastle United travelling to Premier League new boys Fulham, Liverpool home to West Ham and Chelsea travelling to Wolves.

The match of weekend seems to be the champions Manchester City taking on Everton.

Take this with a pinch of salt.

Indeed the fixtures are a pretty closely guarded secret and are embargoed until the morning of June 14 – when broadcasters and media can reveal who teams have got for their opening matches.

With only a few people currently in possession of them, tracing back a leak wouldn’t be hard.

Still, it does get the juices flowing for the announcement on June 14 and the prospect of another season of top flight football.

Jose Mourinho would take his side to Southampton while Burnley would start up against Spurs at Turf Moor.

Let's get some of the World Cup out the way before we concentrate on the Premier League again though.
