Manchester United’s summer signing Alexis Sanchez has hit back at claims he eats alone at Manchester United.

Reports came out few days ago that Sanchez chose to eat lunch alone, away from his United team-mates and always seems unhappy.

"He looks like someone who doesn't want to be here,' the Manchester United source said. "The whole thing doesn't seem right and he looks like a lost boy. It was the same with Di Maria."

However, the Manchester United number seven responded on Instagram by uploading a picture of him and Chile team-mates at the table having some lunch.

The Chilean forward has struggled to replicate his Arsenal form at Old Trafford and to some United fans, his grace is period is over.

The 29-year-old is currently in Stockholm with his national team Chile for a friendly with Sweden on Saturday at the Friends Arena and has admitted that he has not bring the impact he wants at United yet and feels disappointed by that.

"As I am self-demanding, I expected something better," said Sanchez as reported by Mirror.

"After my arrival at United, it was hard to change everything very quickly. I even hesitated to come here [to Sweden, with the national team].

"I had asked permission to miss these games, but then I thought better and spoke with Claudio Bravo and told him that we should all be united."

"The change of club was something that was very abrupt - it was the first time I've changed clubs in January - but many things have happened in my life that are difficult." He added.
