Master Ndung'u over the moon after shining at 2025 IDPA

Kenya's top shooter Master Ibrahim Ndung'u has expressed his delight after being declared the overall winner of the 2025 IDPA Africa Continental Shooting Championship held at the Bamburi Rifle Club, Mombasa County over the weekend.

Ndung'u also claimed two gold medals in the PCC Master and PCC Division High categories.

The two-day event attracted shooters from Russia, Austria, Pakistan, USA and hosts Kenya.

Speaking after the competition, credited his good preparation for the impressive performance.

"I am very happy to be the overall winner. I had prepared very well before this championship. I will continue to work hard and fly the Kenyan flag higher," said Ndung'u.

Ndung'u has now shifted his focus to the Extreme Euro Open which will be held in Czech Republic in June and World Handgun Championship slated for September in South Africa.

Kenya's Master Sammy Onyango clinched the Carry Optic Division category while his compatriot Mohamed Aden of Kenya Police won the SPD overall title. Chutkov from Russia was the overall winner in the ESP category.

In the ladies' category, Elizabeth Cherono bagged the Optic High title as DCI's Agnes Muchiri won the Ladies Iron High trophy.
