In a day where draws dominated, the FKF Premier League witnessed only one winner from the four matches played.

Defending champions Gor Mahia displayed resilience and determination as they rallied from behind to salvage a point against KCB in a fiercely contested 1-1 draw.

The encounter began with high energy and competitive spirit from both sides. Apollo Otieno of KCB set the stage by netting a goal in the 17th minute, giving the bankers an early lead.

However, Gor Mahia showcased their champion spirit, pushing hard to ensure parity. It was Robert Mugisha who came through for the defending champions, finding the back of the net in the 87th minute, securing a crucial equaliser.

This hard-fought draw propelled Gor Mahia to the second position in the 18-team standings, albeit four points behind the league leaders, Posta Rangers. Rangers clinched a 1-0 victory over Kariobangi Sharks on Saturday, amassing 13 points and retaining their top spot.

Gor Mahia closely followed with nine points, neck-and-neck with the newcomers, Murang'a SEAL, who clinched their third win of the season by overcoming Nzoia Sugar with a score of 1-0, also on Saturday.

On the other hand, AFC Leopards' winless streak continued in the 2023-2024 season, after they failed to secure victory against Shabana FC.

The match ended in a 1-1 draw, with Brian Yakhama scoring in the 13th minute to give Leopards the lead. However, Peter Ogechi of Shabana FC levelled the scores in the 21st minute.

This draw added to Leopards' struggles, having lost one match and drawn four in the opening five fixtures. Consequently, Leopards descended to the 15th position in the standings, dangerously hovering just one point above the relegation zone.

In other matches, Tusker and FC Talanta clashed in an intense battle that ultimately ended in a 0-0 draw at Ruaraka.

Meanwhile, Kakamega Homeboyz emerged as the sole victors of the day, narrowly defeating Bandari 1-0.

Brian Chala's decisive goal in the 62nd minute secured Homeboyz's second win of the season, elevating them to the ninth position with seven points.
