KCAA and Kiambu retain overall Kecoso and CASA games titles

Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) won a number of titles and finished within the medal bracket in other disciplines to garner 84 points and scoop the overall title as the curtains came down on the 43rd edition of Kenya Communications Sports Organization (Kecoso) games at William Ole Ntimama Stadium in Narok County on Saturday.

They were followed by Communications Authority (CA) who posted 73 points ahead of Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) 71, Ministry of Roads and Transport (MORT) 66, Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) 61, Ministry of Youth, Culture and Sports (MOYASA) 47, Postal Corporation of Kenya (PCK) 36, Narok County Government (NCG) 18, Kenya Maritime Authority (KMA) 12 and BUNGE on 11 points.

KCAA won pool and scrabble titles and emerged runners up in athletics, basketball and netball and were fourth in golf and fifth in darts.

The week-long games saw the participation of national team players in different disciplines and Posta Rangers and Talanta FC, which all take part in the Kenyan Football Premier League.

Posta Rangers and Talanta FC were sponsored by PCK and CA respectively.

Meanwhile, Kiambu accumulated a total of 13 points to win the County Assemblies Sports Association (Casa) games overall title beating fancied Bungoma by two points and was followed by hosts Nakuru who came third with 10 points.

Others were West Pokot 9, Baringo 9, Kisumu 8, Taita taveta 7, Trans Nzoia 7, Kakamega 7, Kwale 6 and Turkana 6.

The event also witnessed the participation of retired international players in different disciplines.

Casa Chairman Peter Imwatok was elated with the performance of all teams after the finished the week-long games without any incidents.

"It was a good show on our participants after we finished the week-long games without any major incident, which indicates officiating was fair to all teams and that's the way to go," he said.
