Kenya has been invited to play test matches in India.

Although the invitation by the Royal Family of India failed to specify when Kenya is expected to fly into the Asian country, the first son of the 13th King of India Maharasa Sawai Bhawani, Padmanabh Singh said the epic Kenyan standards had impressed on them to invite Kenyan teams.

"Kenyan polo standards are impressive and we are delighted to invite the team to play some matches with our teams," he said.

Speaking at Nairobi Polo Club during the Zambian Ladies International Polo Tournament where Kenya won the match 11-8, Padmanabh said a formal invitation will be communicated to Kenya Polo Association soon.

Kenya Polo Association chairman Peter Griffiths said he was yet to receive the formal invitation.

However, Padmanabh said the invitation would come from India Polo Association for the invitee to confirm her appropriate dates.

"With the fantastic polo standards in Kenya, we are happy and touched to invite you (Kenya) to play some of our teams in future. Dates can be fixed upon consultations," Padmanabh told Standard Sports.
