2018 Sports Personality of the Year (SOYA) school coach of the year, Mukasa Amboko is a man with a touch of consistency.

Over the years, he continues to produce winning teams in various schools he transfers to, after developing a uniquely thoughtful styles of coaching and management, which has become one of the most respected in the Coast region.

"There are many lessons to be learned because it is the spirit, personality and program reputation that comes to play in a good setting," said the coach after guiding his new school Kombani Girls football team to next week's Coast region secondary schools Term Two games.

The games at Voi Secondary School, in Taita Taveta county, will see unheralded teams ready to shock previous giants.

The games, which are scheduled to start next Wednesday to Saturday, will have newbies who are ready to rewrite history.

Kombani Mixed Secondary School from Kwale is one of the schools that shocked well established schools and can't wait to make their debut at the regional games.

The transfer of Amboko to the school in June last year came as a blessing to them. Amboko made history with Kwale Girls High School in 2018 when he guided them to win the national and East Africa girls' football title.

Elizabeth Katungwa and Lucy Kwekwe, who play professional football in the Indian women premier league, were some of the players Amboko groomed at Kwale.
