Syngenta beat Amiran to win Fawcus Cup

It was a tough match that Syngenta fought like a wounded lion to emerge the Fawcus Cup champions.
They overcame a stubborn Amiran by half fraction of a goal in a mouthwatering see-saw match at Manyatta Polo Club in Gilgil to lift the title yesterday.
Syngenta team of Casimir Gross, Vishal Somaia, Ben Stonewigg and Nick Millar narrowly escaped defeat from Amiran's team led by Kimoi Moi.
During the match, there were too many penalties, some defended and others undefended.
Kimoi's pony christened 'The Sunny Champion of the World' was voted The Most Valuable Pony.
"I'm grateful to be able to play with such an amazing horse as horses make 90 percent of the game. I'm also grateful to the team that helps to look after them (horses)," Kimoi told Standard Sports.
In the Intermediate championships of the Rift Valley Cup, Greenspoon team of Samuel Muchene, Nick Barlow, Kaila Millar and Cheza Millar won the title.
"It was a good match but it's teamwork that made us win," Muchene said.
Eva Kamau Sanlam team that lost to Greenspoon said: "Yes, we didn't win but it was a great event".
Kamau said she plays better when she plays away from her home club in Nairobi.
