Tong Il Moo Do: All set for international tourney

Preparations for the 10th edition of the Mombasa International Open Tong Il Moo Do tournament have intensified with over 40 teams expected to participate in the event scheduled for Aga Khan Multipurpose Hall in Mombasa.

Kenya Tong Il Moo Do Federation president master Clarence Mwakio said arrangements are in top gear for the event set for next week from Friday to Sunday where Kenya will be defending the overall title for the 10th year in a row. Kenya emerged winners of last year's edition - also held at Aga Khan - after topping the medal table with 39 gold, 33 silver and 52 bronze beating their perennial rivals Philippines.

Other countries expected are Iran, DRC, Thailand, Paraguay, USA, Ethiopian, Nigeria, Syrups, Angola, Germany, Canada who are bringing a bigger team than last year. [Ernest Ndunda]
