General Service Unit combined fitness and shooting skills to win the disciplined forces title at the national league level three championships on Sunday.

The competition that attracted foreign sharpshooters was organised by the Kenya Shooting Sports Federation at the Bamburi Rifle Club.

GSU bagged 195 points for the title and walked away with Sh150,000.

Prisons settled for second position with 156.8 points with Kenya Police Service (KPS) claiming the third slot after garnering 122.1 points.

During the Chalbi Industries Ltd sponsored knockouts contested with the newly launched Kenya manufactured gun Duma, KPS under team leader Mohammed Aden scooped the top prize.

In the individual BRC International Practical Shooting Confederation level three handgun match production category, the 2021 overall winner, Master Ibrahim Ndungu scored 1123.57 points to emerge victorious.

Aden scored 981.35 points for the second position with Issa Issa clinching the third position with 968.60 points. In ladies' production division, Agatha Muchiri won with 545.11 points. [Ernest Ndunda]
