Radio Africa qualified for the Six-Goal-Tournament finals

Top players were in action as Radio Africa easily dispatched Tusker Malt 5-3 to romp into the finals of the Six-Goal-Tournament at Nairobi Polo Club yesterday.
Radio Africa will now face the winner between Sanlam Investments and Tanqueray in the finals this afternoon, a match that was going on by our press time.
The tournament which is being used to select players who'll face Brazilian National Team in a high-goal international tournament at the same venue next week saw Radio Africa lead from the first to the final whistle.
Stichbury siblings Izzy and Harry scored a hattrick and with a double from international Izzy Voorspuy, they (Radio Africa) strolled into the finals. On target for Tusker Malt were Ben Stonewigg and Archie Voorspuy with the latter providing a double.
In the losers Cup of the Six-Goal-Tournament, Samurai came back a stronger side yesterday after overcoming Raph Nzomo-led Live Eye 6-3.5.
It was another good day for Kimoi Moi and Moses Wainaga when each of them scored a double as Jadini Nzomo and Omwakwe Arunga scored the last double for Samurai which put the match beyond the reach of Live Eye.
"Today (yesterday), we changed tact after a bad start in the first match. In fact, the first match improved our play in the second match yesterday, "Jadini told Standard Sports.
To score for Live Eye was a double by Raph Nzomo and another by speedy Gregory Kimani that came in the first two and final chukkas. "We lost to a better side but we need to improve on our next game," said Raph.
In the Subsidiary Cup, two goals by vastly improved handicap -2 Bobby Kamani and a double by Oscar Du Toit in addition to a hattrick by Josephine Lucy was enough for Ultimate to secure a 7-5 lead over MICT in the three-match-series. "Yes, we are still in the lead against our opponents but more still needs to be done before we emerge victorious today in the final match," said Kamani.
MICT replied through Kelvin Jumba who scored a hattrick from a 30-yard penalty, a backhand goal and an open goal with members Miranda Rojimn (-1.5) and Eva Kamau (-2) providing the rest. and Kelvin Jumba for their side.
