Patron’s Cup 2022 lived up to the billing, in hosting a successful Tier 1 match over the weekend at the Kirigiti Shooting Range in Kiambu county.

The event which brought together over 130 shooters from the disciplined forces and civilians also had attending guests trying their hands in a fun shoot.

Sports Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohamed,  Energy and Petroleum CS Monica Juma  and PS State Department for Industrialization Peter Kaberia graced the event thanks to NGAO-Kenya’s patron Anthony Mwaniki Muchiri's invite.

Muchiri said NGAO-K needs to be recognised as a federation so that it can tap into the Sports Fund.

Responding to Muchiri's request, CS Amina said the government has put measures in place to support sport and popularise it.

“I declare today’s event officially launched. I don’t see why you should not be supported by the government. We will do what we can to recognize NGAO-Kenya as a sports federation so that it can get the relevant support it requires from the government,” said Amina.

In Division High, Master Ibrahim Ndungu emerged the winner in SSP, Master Eric wachira emerged top in ESP, Master Mohammed Omar was top in CCP category.

Elias Kavwagi from Mombasa was declared the overall winner in BUG division as Joel Waroi scooped the Revolver Division High.

The Patron’s Madaraka shoot was sponsored by Crown paints, Coca cola, Ann Kananu Foundation, Renedade air,  Ngoma Tucheze, Redcaf Healthcare, Pete’s coffee house Benjiwil, Conrad, Baron Capital Limited, DSL, sweet somethings and my ISP among others.

NGAO-Kenya is at the forefront in  promoting legal and responsible use of firearms.
