Tanak, Neuville undergo Covid-19 tests in Naivasha

Estonian speedster Ott Tanak and Thierry Neuville, both of Hyundai Motorsport team, underwent Covid-19 tests in Naivasha on Monday.

The duo jetted into the country on Sunday night, aboard a chartered plane, ahead of their participation in the WRC Safari Rally championship at the region on June 24-27.

They also travelled with Toyota Gazoo Racing team member Sebastien Ogier who is also the current WRC series leader as well as the reigning world champion.

The Covid-19 testing is in line with the Ministry of Sports and the Ministry of Health protocols that the Government has laid down for all sporting events.

Apart from the Covid-19 tests, the international speed merchants were also scheduled to take part in a recce to be conversant with the Safari Rally routes ahead of the main championship that races off on Thursday.
