Home club's Sammy Mulama showed his dominance to be crowned the 2023 champion for the second edition of the Golf Park Open Golf Championship that ended at the par 70 Ngong Race Course & Golf Park Club course on Sunday.

Mulama started off in day one on Friday with a two over par 73 gross, added a one over par 71 gross in day two on Saturday and finally brought a one under par 69 gross on Sunday for a round total of 213 gross to emerge the overall winner.

"My dream has come true. This is a well-deserved victory and I am so grateful that it happened in my home club. I had prepared well and was looking forward to more wins in the next series," said Mulala who also walked home with a Sh69,300 cash prize money for the overall winner.

This event was a Kenya Golf Union organised tournament played over 54 holes for three days.

It attracted 70 amateurs from around the country's golf clubs.
