KTRH Football Club, a team fueled by the spirit of health and camaraderie, recently clinched the coveted title at the Inter-Hospital Games held in Eldoret.
Triumphing over formidable opponents such as Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital, Kenyatta National Hospital, Kijabe Hospital, and Kitale Referral Hospital, KTRH FC emerged as the undisputed champions, bringing glory not just to their hospital but to the entire Kisii community.
Dr. Donald Ratemo Ongechi, the esteemed Chairman of KTRH, expressed immense pride in the achievement of the hospital's football team. He underscored the significance of this victory, stating, "Our mission at KTRH is to serve all, and we believe in achieving this mission through not only delivering excellent healthcare but also actively engaging with our community."

Dr. Ongechi spoke passionately about the hospital's vision to collaborate with all 46 counties through football, recognizing it as a powerful vehicle for achieving a common goal-patient care. "Football is a universal language that can bridge gaps and bring people together. Our focus is not only on the local community but also on expanding our collaborations to the national and international levels," he affirmed.
The chairman highlighted the importance of public and private partnerships, stating, "Through collaboration, we can amplify our impact. On a triumphant Sunday, KTRH FC showcased their prowess on the football field at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Sportsground in Kisumu.
They thrashed Barcadia FC from Kisumu with a resounding 5-2 victory before sealing their dominance with a 3-1 win against Agha Khan Hospital. These victories not only exemplify the football prowess of KTRH FC but also symbolize the hospital's commitment to excellence in all aspects of community life.
