It is no longer a rumour, American singer, rapper and song writer Christopher Maurice aka Chris Brown will be visiting Kenya next month during his East African tour.

At the same time, Keri Hilson is set to perform in Nairobi mid next month. “Actually, next month... I’m performing in Tanzania and Kenya for the first time,” Keri wrote on her Twitter handle last week.

The R&B and hip-hop artiste will also perform in Nigeria and Tanzania during the tour.

Talking to MondayBlues yesterday, Ugandan showbiz promoter Ally Alibbai confirmed that he had already secured a performance contract with Chris Brown - for the Uganda show.

A giant electronic and telecommunication company is now cutting deals with sponsors for the Chris Brown Nairobi show.

“The show has nothing to do with Sam Lentz as it was being alluded. In fact, Sam Lentz was barred from brokering deals for the concert. The deal is already sealed and you can be sure Chris will be in Nairobi next month,” a source close to the tour organisers told MondayBlues. “Kenyans are very skeptical and we don’t want this to sound like another rumour. We are bringing the star and I can tell you, the tickets will be affordable,” the source added.
