Luanda Villa SC football team receive Sh3immillion sponsorship from Maybets Kenya.

Football development at the grassroots has faced significant challenges in the country due to limited resources and insufficient support for community clubs.

One such team is Luanda Villa SC, currently 6th in the FKF National Super League (NSL).

Like many others, the team has progressed from the county league but continues to face funding constraints. Limited financial resources have hindered the club's ability to invest in quality equipment and player salaries, affecting their competitiveness.

At the same time, a lack of sufficient sponsorship has made it difficult for the team to attract and retain talent, slowing their progress toward higher-level competitions such as the Kenyan Premier League (KPL).

These obstacles have hindered the club's growth, leaving members in need of greater support to realise their potential and compete at a higher level.

Through a partnership with Maybets Kenya, the challenges are now being addressed.

The company has secured a 10-month sponsorship deal worth Sh3 million to support the club's development ambitions.

Luanda Villa CEO Steve Munala and Chairman Moses Abwenje expressed their gratitude, describing the sponsorship as a notable boost for the club's journey toward higher competition.

Maybets Kenya CEO Aggrey Sayi reiterated the company's dedication to grassroots football, noting that the sponsorship provides much-needed support, including branded jerseys, training kits and player salaries for both the playing unit and the technical bench
