As defending champions Gor Mahia prepares for their upcoming FKF Premier League match against FC Talanta this Sunday, all eyes are on the league's current top scorer, Benson Omalla, who has found the back of the net nine times in 14 matches.

"This week I have been working on my timing and finishing touches this week," said Omalla.
Gor Mahia's unbeaten run has been the talk of the league, but the pressure is mounting as Kakamega Homeboyz and KCB FC are hot on their heels, both with 27 points. A win against FC Talanta is crucial for Gor Mahia to maintain their slender lead at the top. With Homeboyz and KCB also showing strong forms, the title race is shaping up to be a nail-biter.

"We started the match against Nzoia very slow but the fighting spirit in the team is amazing. We want to play better against Talanta. Taking it a game at a time, we also want to maintain our unbeaten streak as we work towards the bigger goal of retaining the league," said Gor captain Philemon Otieno.
