Soweto, Upper Hill and State House Girls star in Nairobi Regional games

Upper Hill saw off Light Academy 3-2 to reach the semifinals of the Nairobi Region Secondary School games.

Upper Hill took the first set 25-22 before Light Academy tied the score 1-1 after a 25-23 show in the second set.

A dominant 25-8 third quarter show lifted Upper Hill back 2-1 up before Light Academy fought back again to tie at 2-2 after 25-16 fourth set show.

It took a tie breaker fifth set for Upper Hill to win 3-2 as their 15-12 performance took them to the semifinals.

In the other quarter, Hospital Hill displayed show of might after running over Dandora Mixed 3-0 (25-8, 25-5, 25-6) as Ruthmitu thumped Highway 3-0.

They dominated 25-12, 25-13 and 25-10. The final quarters saw Lang'ata High edge Lenana School 3-1 (25-18,25-28, 28-26, 25-20).

In the girls' category, Highridge edged out Embakasi 3-0, State House Girls won 3-2 over Huruma and Soweto knocked out Mbagathi 3-0.
