Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) will be relying on home court advantage to propel them to victory as they aim to defend their women's Kenya Basketball Federation (KBF) Premier League title at Makande Gymnasium this weekend in Mombasa.

The dockers took a 2-0 advantage in the women's finals last weekend on the road in Nairobi when they humbled newbies Zetech University Sparks 68-38 and 70-38 in Game One and Two of the best of five series playoffs finals played at Nyayo Gymnasium.

The reigning champions now only need to win Game Three today at Makande Gymnasium to defend their women's Premier League title with an unbeaten record.

Speaking ahead of the match, KPA head coach Anthony Ojukwu said they want to close out the series and shift their focus to supporting their men counterparts who are tied 1-1 against Equity Bank Dumas.

"It's a healthy advantage for us ahead of the crucial Game Three and now we need to close out the series. We have the quality and now what we need is for the girls to show up just as they did at Nyayo," said Ojukwu.

"We won't underrate them of course. This is not yet over and we would not want to give them a win because you never know, a win might just change everything," added the former Kenyan international.
