Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) RFC will be seeking to bounce back to winning ways when they travel to play Strathmore Leos on Saturday at the Madaraka complex.

MMUST have lost their last two matches against Menengai Oilers and Kenya Harlequin and will be seeking to get back on track as they continue with their hunt of reaching the playoffs.

Speaking to the Standard Sports, MMUST assistant coach John Asila said they are ready to start the year with a bang after ending last year on the wrong foot.

“The team is solid and well prepared for the weekend match. We had a good start to the campaign but encountered some hitches heading towards the end of the year.”

“We learnt from pour mistakes and now we are ready to grind again. Kicking off the year with a win will be of a big boost to us going forward as we aim to achieve one of our set goals, to reach the Kenya Cup playoffs,” said Asila.

Leos on the other hand also lost their last match against Nondies and will be hoping to bounce back.

In other matches, Menengai Oilers tackle Kenya Harlequin at the ASK Showground in Nakuru while Homeboyz will take on Nakuru in a match set for Jamhuri Park in Nairobi.
