West Ham are set to ramp up their bid for Tottenham midfielder Victor Wanyama amid growing interest from the likes of Celtic, Norwich City and Galatasaray.

The Harambee Stars skipper had previously been linked with a return to Celtic FC after Belgian outfit Club Brugge reportedly pulled out of a deal to sign him and pursued a move for Granit Xhaka instead.

The reports also add that West Ham are keen on four central midfielders, with Stoke City's Joe Allen, Getafe midfielder Nemanja Maksimovic and Nantes ace Abdoulaye Toure on the radar.

However ="https://www.takvim.com.tr/spor/2019/12/31/fatih-terim-mourinhodan-wanyamayi-istedi">according to Turkish outlet Takvim,< talks between Galatasaray and Spurs have already begun over a possible move for Wanyama, who has only featured for just nine minutes under Jose Mourinho.

Galatasaray are reportedly looking to swoop in for Wanyama as a replacement for AS Roma loanee midfielder Steven Nzonzi.

Norwich City are also interested in securing the services of the Kenyan international in the January transfer window.

With Spurs looking to bring in more cash to boost Mourinho’s transfer fund, Wanyama is likely to be sold by Tottenham if the right offer comes along.

The 28-year-old spent a huge part of last year on the sidelines due to injuries and reports in the UK have been pointing towards him leaving Tottenham Hotspur this the January transfer window.

Wanyama’s place in Spurs’ midfield has been in doubt, now that Mourinho clearly favours the likes of Eric Dier, Harry Winks and Tanguy Ndombe who all look more likely to start ahead of him.

The Spurs midfielder started his professional career with Belgian side Germinal Beerschot AC in 2009 before moving on to Scotland giants Celtic for two years before joining Southampton on 11 July 2013 for £11.5m.

He then joined Spurs from Southampton in the summer of 2016 but his career has been marred by bursts of nagging injuries, which have also kept the midfielder out of action in crucial parts of the season.
