Transition: Former volleyball star Nyongesa dies

Former international and former Ministry of Works volleyball head coach Cleophas Nyongesa has passed on.

Nyongesa, 67 and who coached The Standard Group Nakuru Bureau team for the 2014 inter-bureau championships died this week in a road accident.

He was hit by a speeding motorbike in Bungoma and died on arrival at the hospital.

There will be a funds drive in Bungoma on Monday for burial expenses. He leaves behind two widows and 13 children.
