Lucky Kenyan man wins Sh1 million from betting

Rodgers Ochieng, a lucky man from Narok has won Sh1,014,467 on OdiBets — one of the few licensed betting companies in Kenya.

Ochieng won Sh560,667 on July 1 and three days later, he landed Sh453,800 on multibets of 30 teams and 22 teams respectively.

He placed the first bet with Sh250 and then won the second bet using a stake of Sh20,000.

“I intend to use this money to buy land and construct a house for my mother in Rongo and also to pay for my Engineering course,” a happy Ochieng said.

OdiBets Country Marketing manager Aggrey Sayi said they were committed to giving OdiBets customers an enjoyable “gaming experience”.

“Besides that, we are committed to giving back to society by helping develop sports in the country. OdiBets is one of seven betting companies whose licence were renewed after the government declined to renew licences of 27 other betting companies insisting they comply with various regulations.
