Manchester United secure major signing ahead of new season

Marcus Rashford has agreed a new four-year contract at Manchester United.
Rashford, 21, has finally put pen to paper on the £200,000-a-week deal to give United a major boost ahead of their pre-season tour and the new season.
The deal takes him up to 2023 but will also have an option for a further 12 months after contract talks reached fruition at the back end of last week.
United had been putting pressure on Rashford to sign as his existing deal was due to expire in 2020 and, even though the new contract will include add-ons and incentives, they will feel it is an excellent deal for the club.

Rashford had been pushing for more than £300,000-a-week because Alexis Sanchez is on over £500,000-a-week while other big stars like David de Gea have been demanding parity.
“Manchester United has been everything in my life since I arrived here at the age of seven. This club has shaped me, both as a player and as a person, so it is such a privilege every time I get the opportunity to wear the shirt," Rashford said.
“I want to thank Ole and his staff for everything they have done for me; they are the perfect group of coaches to learn from as I continue my development and look to push on to the next level.
“I will be giving everything I have to help get this club back to where it belongs and deliver the success that our fans deserve."
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said: “Marcus is one of the most talented English players of his generation. He is an outstanding player; blessed with natural pace and energy.
“Marcus is a shining example of the talent that our Academy produces and his upbringing means that he truly understands what it means to play for Manchester United.
United tying down Rashford is also a huge thumbs up for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who played the England star as a central forward during the run-in last term.
Romelu Lukaku could leave Old Trafford this summer with his future uncertain while Paul Pogba has publicly admitted he could also go in search for a “new challenge” though United do not want to sell the France World Cup winner.
