Attempts of shaming Victor Wanyama online fail after controversial tweet

A Twitter user, identified as Njuguna Nyenjeri on Wednesday, May 22 was at the centre of criticism from fellow Kenyans after attacking star footballer Victor Wanyama.
Njuguna, who seems to be a close follower of the Tottenham Hotspurs man, faulted Wanyama for not helping people back at home, suggesting he has not put his humongous weekly wage into good use.
Wanyama, who joined the London-based club three years ago from Southampton, reportedly earns a weekly wage of 70,000 pounds, has a contract that runs till the year 2021.
The whole Twitter spat began after Njuguna shared a picture of a classy hospital in the Ivory Coast and captioned it: “This hospital has been constructed by Didier Drogba right from the purchase of land. Our Own Victor Wanyama earns 28 million every month but has not constructed a single classroom in his backyard which will cost him a mere 700…”
The hospital was reportedly constructed by ex-Chelsea striker Didier Drogba.
However, Wanyama’s supporters took the opportunity to remind Njuguna that it wasn’t his job to construct schools and hospitals, that there was a sitting Government elected by the people to handle such matters.
During the last campaigning period, the then Jubilee coalition in their manifesto promised to make Kenya a double-digit economy, build five international stadiums, create five million jobs, construct more classrooms, give out laptops to class one pupils and build more hospitals.
But years later, the manifesto that would have also changed the face of sports in Kenya led to the nation being stripped of hosting rights for the 2018 Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) after it lacked up to standard stadium infrastructure.
