Yet again! Sanchez woes compounded with another knee injury

Manchester United forward Alexis Sanchez is sitting uneasy as he stares at the possibility of being sidelined for months.

The Chilean hobbled off with a knee ligament damage in the second half of their 3-2 win over Southampton on Saturday.

According to Chile national team physio Pedro Onate, Sanches, a former arsenal talisman, is likely to be out of action for six to eight weeks.

"We spoke to the player and he had scans on the injury (on Sunday). He will be available for the Copa America, but he will be unavailable to play for between six and eight weeks. The medial ligament strain is an annoying injury but not such a complex one," Pedro said.

Sanchez has struggled at Old Trafford since his move from London-based Arsenal.

The former Arsenal Star's injury woes seem to have a worrying effect on Chile coach Reinaldo Rueda too, who aired his concerns upon hearing the news.

"For sure it's very worrying. These are situations that happen in football. We hope he overcomes this very quickly because he has all the quality, a track record, experience and quality to assert himself. I hope we can enjoy the Alexis we all knew again." Rueda said.

Injury-ridden United

The injury adds to the selection problem for United's coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who already has a depleted squad.  His thin team faces French champions Paris Saint Germain in a UEFA Champions League match on Tuesday.
