Kabras Sugar head coach Henley Du Plessis expects his team to continue with its fine form in the 2018-19 Kenya Cup season when they renew rivalry against defending champions KCB on Saturday.

KCB will be aiming to extend their dominance over Kabras and inflict a first defeat on the millers.

The sugar millers’ are currently on the verge of breaking Nakuru’s 13 game unbeaten record they set in 2014-15 crowning season as they lead the standings with 49 points after playing ten games and losing none.

KCB has won eight matches out of nine against Kabras in the past four seasons, but Du Plessis is confident they can stop the bankers this year.

“The boys are on fire after stopping both Quins and Homeboyz in our last two tricky fixtures. We have had three good training sessions and we look forward to another good away game,” Du Plessis told the Standard Sports.

The South African, however, said they will be tactical against Curtis Olago’s side saying they are going to play the game as a final both in Erick Shirley Shield (ESS) and Kenya Cup.

“We want to win every trophy and that means both the Kenya Cup and ESS. I have a full squad at my disposal where two strong line ups will be drawn for the two ties.

“We have also worked on how to finish our games and that will be key in Nairobi,” he said.

And having overcame the Deejays’ hurdle, the South African coach believes the millers have a perfect strategy to end their winless run against the hosts with the likes of Dan Sikuta, Brian Tanga, Logan Basson, Mario Wilson and Philip Wokorach in fine form.
