Former Manchester United coach Jose Mourinho finally speaks after being sacked

Jose Mourinho was spotted in London on Wednesday following his sacking by Manchester United.

Mourinho was followed by photographers and a reporter from Sky Sports News after it was confirmed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would be his successor at Old Trafford.

The Portuguese was asked for his view but simply replied: "I have nothing to say."

As he was probed further, Mourinho grew more restless and invited the reporter to carry on walking with him, but insisted he had nothing more to say.

The curtain came down on Mourinho's two-and-a-half-year stay in the Old Trafford dugout on Tuesday morning as Ed Woodward informed the self-styled Special One he had been sacked.

Mourinho's final game in charge saw United lose 3-1 at Anfield, a result which left them 19 points behind Premier League leaders Liverpool.

The Red Devils are 11 points off the top four with Solskjaer brought in on an interim basis in a bid to restore the side's fortunes.

Solskjaer, 45, will take the reins of the rest of the season when he is then scheduled to return to Norwegian side Molde.

United will then look to appoint a permanent boss, but will need to pay £8million if they wish to keep Solskjaer at the Theatre of Dreams.

Mauricio Pochettino is another name in the frame, but Tottenham would command a big compensation package to allow the Argentine to leave.
