Marcus Rashford is reportedly open to leaving Manchester United for Real Madrid.

The La Liga giants are keeping tabs on Rashford, who has 18 months remaining on his current deal at Old Trafford.

Rashford has failed to nail down a regular spot for United this season and he has been played centrally, out wide and often from the bench.

The Sun reports Real have now made contact with Rashford's representatives to make it clear they would are serious about taking him to the Bernabeu.

It is claimed Rashford, 21, was watched by Real scouts during England's UEFA Nations League victory over Croatia at Wembley on Sunday.

Gareth Southgate has also warned Rashford he needs to be playing regularly at club level to retain his place in the England side.

Rashford has never had any intention of leaving his boyhood club but is concerned his progress is stalling under Jose Mourinho.

Contact has reportedly been made between Real and Rashford's agent and the youngster will speak to the Spanish club if things don't change.

United are reportedly ready to offer Rashford a bumper new contract to keep him at Old Trafford.

United chief Ed Woodward wants Rashford to finalise a new contract before the end of the season and will offer a deal of around £150,000-a-week plus bonuses.

Rashford is said to be aware of United's determination to agree a new deal and could use that as a bargaining tool in negotiations.
