Mohamed Salah gets immortalised in Egypt [Photos]

The World Cup might not have gone how he wanted it to, but that doesn't change the fact that Liverpool's Mohamed Salah is a hero back home in Egypt.
The Liverpool star famously scored the penalty that took his nation to their first World Cup in 28 years, but after his Champions League final injury seriously hampered his fitness ahead of the tournament in Russia he was forced to miss his side's first game against Uruguay, a 1-0 defeat.
He returned for the matches against Russia and Saudi Arabia, scoring in both, but - in the midst of off-field rows - Egypt lost both games to exit in the group stages.
Salah's performances at the start of this season have been forensically analysed as many are claiming that he can't possibly repeat last season's stellar form, but he's still managed seven goals in all competitions as Liverpool have started the season well.
And now there's this.
Egyptian sculptor Mai Abdel Allah has unveiled a new statue of Salah at the World Youth Forum in Sharm El Sheikh, which runs from November 3-6.
The statue shows Salah with his arms outstretched in apparent celebration, albeit with much... er... bigger hair than we are used to seeing.
Fans were left stumped by the statue, and many compared it to 1970s and 80s crooner Leo Sayer.
Back on the pitch, the former Arsenal defender Martin Keown still thinks that Salah's Champions League final injury is hampering him following his performance in Liverpool's 1-1 draw at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
"I look at Salah, and he doesn't look the real deal for me," he said after the game.
"When you really go for it and look at him, he was very quiet today.
"Something's wrong, maybe the injury that he had with the arm is affecting him.
"But he doesn't want to get hurt, for me. He's not really the same player."
