Hugo Lloris was sent off as Tottenham failed to win a third Champions League group stage encounter.

Spurs realistically needed to win both matches against PSV to have hopes of qualifying for the knockout stage but could only pick up a 2-2 draw.

Hirving Lozano opened the scoring for PSV on the half hour after robbing Toby Alderweireld of possession.

The Mexican raced clear and although Alderweireld got back, he ended up deflecting the finish over a stranded Llloris.

Davinson Sanchez had a goal harshly ruled out moments later before Lucas Moura's deflected effort brought Tottenham level.

And within 10 minutes of the start of the second half, Spurs were ahead through Harry Kane.

The England striker had a simple header after an inch-perfect cross from Christian Eriksen.

But Spurs were reduced to 10 men for the last 10 minutes after Lloris was sent off for a foul on Lozano.

PSV eventually made them pay when Luuk de Jong flicked in a late leveller.
