General Service Unit are winners of the inaugural Nakuru County Volleyball Championships.

The servicemen achieved the feat after whipping stubborn Kenya Prisons 3-1 (25-17, 22-25, 25-16 and 25-20) at the end of the two-day tournament at Afraha Open Grounds, in Nakuru, last evening.

The winners were presented with trophies from Nakuru County Deputy Governor Erick Korir, who was the chief guest.

On their way to the final, GSU defeated AP Kenya 3-0 (25-17, 25-15 and 25-22) in the first semifinal clash while Kenya Prisons dismissed Kenya Defence Forces by a similar straight set of  25-14, 25-15 and 25-19 in the second semifinal match.
