With Harambee Stars on brink of AFCON return after 14 years, photos of the Deputy President William Ruto celebrating wildly from the stands went viral as he cheered for Kenya - clapped and screamed every time Kenya approached the goal line.

The team did the country proud by beating Ethiopia 3-0 as Michael Olunga, Sweden-based Eric Johanna and Captain Victor Wanyama were on target.

Seated beside Football Kenya Federation (FKF) President Nick Mwendwa and Sports Cabinet Secretary Rashid Echesa in the VIP section, Ruto was seen raising his hands and doing a little victory dance to celebrated Kenya’s goal.
