Gor prayers answered, players to get dues
The club is yet to receive transfer fees after sale of Godfrey Walusimbi to Kaizer Chiefs.
Gor Mahia chairman Ambrose Rachier said his club players would be paid outstanding salaries and bonuses (for August) by end of yesterday.
Rachier, who was speaking at a press conference in Nairobi yesterday, admitted that there was a delay in paying salaries and allowances for August, adding that the situation has been dealt with appropriately.

"For avoidance of misconception, all salaries, allowances and bonuses for the period up to and including the July 31, 2018, have been duly paid and in full," Rachier said.
"Appropriate arrangements were made for the payment of similar emoluments for the month of August 2018, but on account of certain unavoidable circumstances beyond our control, the salaries were delayed," he added.
"The situation has now been rectified, remittance received and all salaries, bonuses and allowances for the stated period should be paid before close of business today (yesterday)."
The 17-time Kenyan Premier League champions have received a reprieve after the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) unfroze their account, and gave them a grace period to file their returns.
"KRA froze our accounts and claimed Sh128million due to failure to file returns. This was lifted and time was extended for us to do proper documentation," Rachier said.
Rachier also assured fans that the club is not facing a crisis as earlier thought.
According to the chairman, the club is yet to receive transfer fees from the sale of left full-back Godfrey Walusimbi to South African club Kaizer Chiefs.
K'Ogalo has been in a crisis of some sorts in recent days with the players boycotting training over unpaid dues.
The off-field troubles have seen them remain winless in their last four matches in all competitions having fallen 1-0 and 2-0 to Thika United and Ulinzi stars respectively.
Rachier attributed the team's dip in form to inadequate training.
Before suffering the back-to-back domestic losses, Gor bowed out of the CAF Confederations Cup as well as the Sportpesa Shield following losses to USM Alger and Kariobangi Sharks.
Gor face Vihiga United away in Mumias tomorrow before coming up against Mathare United on the day of their coronation as the 2018 Sportpesa Premier League champions on September 30 at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu.
